We ask that any changes or cancellation to your reservation be made no less than 24 hours (48 hours for our Private Lounge) prior. Please be mindful we may not always be able to accommodate last-minute changes to bookings - this includes adding additional guests or switching to larger tables. 

Bookings for parties over 5 guests or for special events such as our Bottomless Package, we request payment details via the secure Stripe payment platform in order to confirm booking (Nothing will be debited from your card when making the booking).​ 

Lucky 8 reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of $20 per person (or a set fee of up to $50 per person for special events) when one of the following conditions has been met:

1. Booking is cancelled within 24 hours (48 hours for our Private Lounge).

2. Guests do not show up for the reservation (bookings will be considered no-show after 15 minutes without notice). 

3. Party size is less than the original booking by 2 or more guests without notice.​

The cancellation fee will be deducted from the registered card on file.

If the need to cancel arise, please cancel 24 hours prior(48 hours for our Private Lounge) to avoid the cancellation fee being charged.​​

We will endeavour to accommodate your dietary requirements, but will not be able to guarantee cross contamination for the following ingredients: Onion, Garlic, Soy, Sesame. ​​​​​​

Please note that music volume gradually increases over the course of the evening, and we generally feature a live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.

No smoking is permitted in the restaurant. Anyone caught doing so will be removed immediately. This includes vaping and any illegal substances.

Host Responsibility: Lucky 8 complies with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and therefore enforce the responsible consumption of alcohol by all our guests. If any guest of the group does not have a valid form of ID required by New Zealand Law, or is underage, no alcohol will be served to the entire party as per our licence. Due to the nature of the venue and ordering system we cannot take responsibility for alcohol consumption of minors. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Proof of relationship may be requested. Irresponsible drinking, such as sculling drinks or consuming them at an unusually fast pace, may result in intentional delays or a complete stop in service. We offer non-alcoholic beverages and food at all times and will stop service to any intoxicated persons. No alcohol can be taken off premises. BYO alcohol is not permitted. Alcohol purchased outside of the venue (i.e. gifts) may be kept safe by the host however, consumption of liquor not purchased at the venue may result in removal of guests from the premises.

Bookings & Timing

•       Bookings are highly recommended. Each session runs for 90 minutes.

•       The 90-minute session begins at the time of booking, not the time of arrival. Late arrivals do not receive a late start time, and extensions will not be given.

•       We will endeavour to accommodate late arrivals where possible, provided there is no booking immediately following and the guest has notified us of their late arrival in advance.

•       Last orders for bottomless items will be taken 15 minutes before the end of the session.

Guest Participation

•       Minimum 2 people are required to activate the package.

•       All guests at the same table must participate in the same package ($38 or $48) and will be charged the same fee regardless of participation or dietary requirements.

•       Guests are welcome to add a la carte items or drinks to their bill on top of the bottomless package.

•       Children aged 6 to 12 years: $20 per person, and count toward the minimum of 2 guests. Children aged 5 and under: free, and do not count toward the minimum.

Table Management & Waste Policy

•       Servers may limit the quantity of the same item ordered per table to ensure fair access for all guests.

•       To enforce our minimise-wastage policy, we reserve the right to refuse serving additional items if a substantial amount of food remains on the table.

•       Any substantial uneaten quantity of food may incur an extra cost at standard menu pricing.

•       This package is strictly for dine-in purposes. No takeaways are permitted unless a separate extra cost is applied at standard menu pricing.

•       Maximum 8 guests per table unless approved by a manager. Larger groups will be seated at adjacent tables.

We will endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements, but we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination for Soy, Onion, Garlic, or Gluten.
